Washington. DC

Our client purchased the unit next door to expand her living space and to host visiting family and friends. She requested that the new space be open, bright and to feel like a garden. To accomplish this we introduced bright colors like various sky blues, sunset yellow and red. Most interior walls were removed in order to bring light into the space from front to back. The blue kitchen wall faces 5 sliding doors of various blue tones that separate the living area from the bedroom/den space. Tall storage cabinets, made of Ash, line a third wall. Areas for her growing collection of plants were created along the window wall.
