This renovation and addition to an existing Charles Goodman house in Hollin Hills repairs a previous renovation and addition that did not take advantage of the plan or site. The rear addition will be removed, and the living room and kitchen will be opened up as one large shared space, with a separate dining room and den. A full glass wall will face the rear deck and woods beyond, with a new higher ceiling and clerestory glass over the living room. A new master suite addition will be situated in the landscape, connected to the main house by a glass walkway. Art storage will occupy the new basement, and gallery space for the client’s extensive art collection will be placed strategically throughout the house.
